New Year, new opportunities!!

Wow! I cannot believe it has been two months since I last posted!! Well Christmas 2011 came & went as did the New Year but January was jam-packed with new and exciting things. I am still doing my reflexology course, I have started my ICGT Tutor training in Exeter and I have also started a ‘Teaching Meditation‘ course which will finish in April. Hopefully by the summer, if all goes to plan, I shall have new therapies and workshops/courses to offer. In addition I have just signed up to become a Neal’s Yard Organics consultant so if anyone fancies hosting a party to sample the delights of Neal’s Yard Organics get in touch! On top of all this there have been significant changes in the LearnIT Centre which could offer new opportunities too, but more on that as things develop. I am currently preparing resources for some workshops for March 2012 to include an Angel Workshop, a one-day workshop all about quartz and another chance for anyone who couldn’t make it last time for Crystal Clarity. And the next 15-week Reiki Levels 1 & 2 is due to start on February 21^st. Well, must get back to it – busy, busy, busy!!

Well it’s been MBS Fairs galore and my very first workshop! I have been lucky enough to get to hear of a number of MBS & Psychic Fairs where I have booked stalls. At each one I met lots of people, some familiar, others new and I had a great time at each and every one!

I also delivered my very first ‘crystals’ workshop and it was a very interesting experience!! The feedback indicated that the attendees had a good time and, thanks to them, I have the confidence now to consider running more workshops in 2012. I have quite a few ideas for workshop themes including more on crystals (e.g. a workshop focusing purely on quartz), an angel workshop, a journey through the chakras and much more!! So keep an eye on my website for more details.

I’ve also started learning Reflexology, which I am thoroughly enjoying and hopefully will be adding that to my list of treatments offered in the Summer of 2012.

Busy, busy, busy……

I’ve been a busy bee lately. Attended Jane Sheehan’s Foot Reading in Swansea and had a lovely time. Am really keen to try it out now, so I think I will be offering ‘taster sessions’ at the MBS Fair on the 9th October. It’s amazing what our tootsies and hard skin can reveal about us!!

Just returned from another fun-filled, action-packed weekend at Lauren D’Silva’s. It was the final Masterclass weekend and we did healing for the Earth (including sending healing for the 9/11 Anniversary) and healing our ancestral line. I really enjoyed the ‘candle ritual’ we did for this part of the course – it had a really nice feel and certainly illuminated (no pun intended!) how we are each a link in a chain at a point in time and how many people from our past are responsible for us being here now.

I started another round of Reiki evening classes last week – looking forward to seeing where that leads.

Hopefully this evening I shall be enrolling on a reflexology course. I have been trying for a number of years to find an affordable course which fits in with my ‘timetable’ and felt that maybe my lack of previous success meant I wasn’t meant to do it, but it could be that all that is about to change……

So, next treat for me is the Madison King workshop at Vision for Living, then working at the MBS Fair at the Newport Hilton as an exhibitor! See you there!

Crystal Conference

Attended the PaCT Annual Crystal Conference in Wiltshire. Sadly it had been reduced to a single day due to poor attendance and a last minute venue change, but nevertheless I met some lovely ladies and had an opportunity to catch up with Sue & Simon Lilly. They delivered a lovely talk on Preseli Bluestone and crystal nets.

Already looking forward to next year’s conference which, all going well should be in Avebury with guest sepaker Phillip Permutt!

Crystal Clarity Workshop

I’m really excited about this! A lovely lady called Sarah, a therapist at ACT in Cardiff, initially invited me to deliver a talk on crystals at her Reiki Share. It went down well, so as a result we are organising this workshop.

Date: 10th July 2011
Time: 09.30 – 17.30
Location: ACT 53 The Parade in Cardiff

In this workshop you will find out how:

 Crystals are formed and where they come from
 To select and care for your crystals
 To use a pendulum
 To perform some simple crystal layouts for your personal wellbeing

The day will also include a guided meditation to connect to a crystal you have chosen.

Bring a pen and notepad and any of your own crystals (including pendulums) if you have them, but don’t worry if you do not have any as there will be crystals available for use & purchase.
Light refreshments will be provided, but you will need to bring a packed lunch.

Price: £60 which includes a small starter kit

Relax & Refresh With Reiki

I’d like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who turned up at the LearnIT Centres last week for the Relax & Refresh with Reiki workshops. I had a lovely time and the general feed back I received was very positive. If anyone is considering learning Reiki for themselves and would like to do it gradually as a 15-week evening /day class, rather than in a one-day workshop then register your interest at either the Cwmbran LearnIT Centre (01495 333306) or the Monmouth LearnIT Centre (01600 775564).

Mid Wales Break

Spent a pleasant weekend exploring the delights of Mid-Wales. Stayed at Victoria Wells Motel, Llanwrtyd Wells, in a log cabin. Not quite CenterParcs or Bluestone standard but comfortable. Considering the amount of travelling around we did only managed to find one place selling crystals and that was in Lampeter, although we did go to Llanidloes where Earthlight Crystals are, but it was Sunday and they were closed

We did, however, have lunch overlooking Llyn Clywedog just above Llanidloes – sadly this is the same place where a family lost their lives just a few days after we were there. My thoughts go out to the lady who survived.

We saw lots of Red Kites and what a beautiful sight they are flying over the Welsh hillsides. Also visited Mynach Falls and survived the arduous trek down one side of the valley, including Jacob’s Ladder and up the other side to get the full experience. Believe me it’s not for the faint-hearted!!

Was quite shocked to hear the news regarding the death of actress Elisabeth Sladen. I am old enough to remember her in Doctor Who and more recently I am quite happy to admit that I have been watching her in The Sarah Jane Adventures – she will be greatly missed and my thoughts go out to her family.

I was also saddened to hear that the body of missing Bath student James Bubear was found. As a mother whose children have been/are students I can only imagine what his family were going through.

On a more joyous note I am looking forward to the series of Bank Holidays coming up and wish well the couple whom I believe have a big wedding coming up

Attended a Spiritual Fayre last Saturday and met some lovely people, even if it did not prove to be very profitable. It was so nice to see a gathering of people giving up their time to raise money for Cancer Research.

On Sunday I watched a DVD I’d received for Mother’s Day – “Eat, Pray, Love” starring Julia Roberts. What a great film – beautiful scenery, insightful messages and the food!!! This film does have the feel-good factor and I can really recommend it.

I am starting to plan some one-day workshops for the Summer including “An Introduction to Crystals” and “Using Crystals With Reiki”. I am also starting to take bookings for the next run of Reiki Evening Classes (Level 1 & 2 over 15 weeks) commencing in August, so if any of this is of interest just contact me.

Spiritual Fayre in Caldicot

At yesterday’s MBS Fair in Newport one of the lovely people I met was the organiser of a Spiritual Fayre coming up in Caldicot next Saturdy (April 9th) who asked me if I’d like to be an exhibitor there. It’s all in aid of Cancer Research so if you can get along to the labour Club in Caldicot then please do!

Yesterday’s fair was busy, but maybe not as busy as it could have been – guess it was due to it being Mother’s Day and people had already made other plans. Nevertheless I met & chatted to some lovely people and for those who have left their details regarding the next Reiki Evening Class Workshops I’ll be in touch as soon as I have confirmed all the details.

The day ended a little dramatically for me as I witnessed a road accident on the way home – hope the people involved are all recovering well and “three cheers” for the quick response of the emergency services & police!
